Support Your Favorite S&T Authors!
Several of the stories in Issue 100 of S&T are being considered for nomination for the Bram Stoker Award for Short Fiction. We’ll print up the list as soon as we have formal confirmation from the Horror Writers of America. If you are a voting member of the HWA, please keep an eye out for the 2007 ballot. Vote early and vote often! (Kidding, kidding...you don’t have to be early).
Upcoming Conventions
My next appearance will be at Philcon, from Nov. 16th - 18th at the Sheraton in downtown Philadelphia, PA. Not sure which panels I’m on yet, but if you drop by, pick up a schedule and you’re sure to find me.
Greater Availability Now-ish!
Yep, we did it, thanks to your nagging your local chain store on our behalf: as of Issue 101, we are back in Barnes and Noble! Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get back into Borders this issue, after all, but our distributor is re-introducing us, so we hope to be there as of Issue 102. PLEASE visit your local Borders book store and ask them if they carry Space and Time. The more they are asked, the more the store managers will contact the home office, the more likely it is that demand will necessitate supply. Thanks!
Submissions Update
This is it, folks...we’re open to fiction submissions! I will be sending out a formal press release this week, so sites like Ralan.com and Gilaqueen.com will feature our new and updated submissions policies. You can feel free to click on the Submissions link here for all of the details. There is a window for sending us your work -- from 11/1/07 - 1/31/08 -- in order to better manage the large number of submissions we expect to receive. Future windows will be opened on an as-needed basis. We hope to keep the response time to your submissions to no longer than one month from the date we receive your work. Start typing!
Remember, we are open for poetry submissions also. Artists, please note the new email address for submissions and queries, also on the Submission page.
Redesign of Space and Time
We have a brand=new layout! I’d love to hear your thoughts on it -- good, bad, or indifferent. Please feel free to shoot an email to hildy@spaceandtimemagazine.com and tell me what you think. I thank to the talented Kathryn Freeman of Author’s Edge Design!
The new web site is nearly finished! More on that next update.
