Space and Time Acquires Realms of Fantasy Subscriber Lists

Now that it is official, I want to share the recent notification posted by William Gilchrist of the unfortunately defunct Realms of Fantasy magazine:

Update for Subscribers

by William Gilchrist on January 13, 2012

As previously posted we have been working with other magazines to get something else for our subscribers. We now have in place the following arrangements to benefit our subscribers.

  • Space and Time Magazine will be providing 1/3 of Realms of Fantasy print subscribers with a back issue, 1/3 will receive the Spring 2012 issue and the remainder will receive the Summer 2012 issue. Current Realms of Fantasy electronic-only subscribers will receive e-copies.
  • Current Realms of Fantasy print subscribers are also eligible to receive electronic copies of Space and Time Magazine in addition to print, subject to their supplying Space and Time with their email addresses. Send an email to hildy@spaceandtimemagazine.com along with your mailing address from your Realms of Fantasy print subscription.

To read the full release, please visit www.rofmag.com.

If you are a current Realms of Fantasy reader, welcome, and I hope you enjoy your complimentary issue and/or electronic issues.  Please feel free to post in the comments if you have any questions or concerns, or email me directly.

Saturday 1/15:

9:30am  Autograph session with Bob Eggleton & Hildy Silverman.

6:30pm  Lost - The End:  It’s finally over. What did you think? Does it make any sense? Did you even get to the ending? Will it make you think twice before committing to another open-ended serial with an unfolding mystery?

Sunday 1/16:

9:30am  The New Doctor, Who?:  New season and new Doctor. What’s the verdict on Matt Smith, the newest Doctor? And who doesn’t love Amy Pond? Has the series gotten better or worse since Moffat’s takeover? Is the current “Doctor Who” madly inventive or just maddening?

11:00am  Breakfast with Special Guests:  This is not only an opportunity to relax and talk with friends, it is also an opportunity to sit and chat with a ‘Special Guest’ who will be acting as your table host! Advance ticket purchase required.

3:30pm  Tales from the Slush Pile:  Our esteemed panelists describe the worst of the worst that have crossed their editorial desk. Panelists will also discuss ways aspiring authors can avoid being cast into the slush pile.

5:00pm  Fanfic as Writer’s Workshop:  What does fanfic offer to pros and aspiring writers? How does it complement their professional work? Does it make them a better writer? Our panelists will discuss the joys and pitfalls of experimenting with fanfic.
