Frederik Pohl has Passed Away

Very sorry to report that Frederik Pohl, one of the giants of science fiction and a previous interview subject in Space and Time, has passed away at the age of 93. A legend in the field, not to mention a sincerely lovely gentleman, he will be missed by many.

I’ve been reading speculative fiction since about 1960–long before that very inclusive term was even used. Along with Heinlein, Asimov, Bradbury, Clarke, Norton, Nourse, and Simak, Pohl was one of those trusted authors. If he wrote it, you knew you could trust it to be good. As with those others, his contributions to the world of s.f. will be missed.
